A trecut deja 1 luna de acomodare in casuta noua si „viata la tara”, which is kinda hard la inceput, comparativ cu cea de la bloc, unde faci 2 pasi si esti in capatul celalalt al apartamentului; la casa te fatzai toata ziua sus-jos, jos-sus, in curte, inauntru & so many things to do in casa noua + curte de amenajat, but so worth it! :)
Ingrediente (20 buc):
- 100g mere uscate*
- 100g unt
- 200g faina
- 1 lg sirop de curmale* (optional)
- 1 ou
- 1/2 lgt praf de copt bio
- 1/2 lgt scortisoara
Ii lasam sa se raceasca in tava, apoi ii servim. Pofta mare!
ENGLISH VERSION
It’s been a month since moving to our new house and adapting to „life in the countryside”, which is kinda hard compared to staying in a flat, where everything is just 2 steps away; when you live in a house, you just keep moving all day long, upstairs, downstairs, outside etc. I am back now with a new super delicious recipe, perfect for kids: dried apple cookies, adapted from Jamie’s recipe, but without the sugar, the dried apples give dough enough natural sweetness. Ilinca and I loved these cookies, so tender and tasty! :)
Ingredients (20 pcs):
- 100 g dried apples
- 100 g butter
- 200 g plain flour
- 1 tbsp date syrup* (optional)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Finely grind the apples in the food processor, then just simply mix well all the ingredients until a ball of dough forms. Mold 20 balls and flatten them with your hands, then place them on a tray lined with baking paper.
I held the tray in the fridge for 15 min for technical reasons (Ilinca wanted to go to sleep, but keeping the cookies in the fridge made them very tender :) Bake the cookies for 12 min at 180 C, until they turn a little brownish on the edges. Let them cool on the tray, then serve them. Enjoy!
