Nu stiu daca exista cineva caruia sa nu ii placa vreun pic cartofii prajiti… Dar stim cu totii cat de nesanatosi si ingrasaciosi sunt, si e bine sa ii evitam pe cat posibil. Din fericire, ne putem face pofta din cand in cand cu niste cartofi pai la cuptor, foarte asemanatori cu varianta originala :) Cartofi prajiti la cuptor.

Ingrediente (4 portii)

  • 1 kg cartofi
  • 4 lg ulei de masline
  • 2 lgt usturoi granulat
  • 1/2 lgt boia iute
  • 1 lgt sare de Himalaya
  • sosurile preferate pentru servire: ketchup fara zahar, maioneza vegana
  • verdeata pentru decor

Curatam si taiem cartofii pai, the old fashioned way :) Intr-un bol amestecam uleiul cu pudra de usturoi, boia iute, sare si piper din belsug si mozolim bine cartofii cu acest amestec.

Ii punem intr-o tava pe hartie de copt, intr-un singur strat, avand grija sa nu se suprapuna, si ii coacem la foc mare (200 de grade) pentru aprox 30 de minute sau pana se rumenesc ochiometric. Pofta mare!

*Baby-friendly: folositi foarte putina sare doar dupa varsta de 1 an, inlocuiti boia iute cu boia dulce.

ENGLISH VERSION

I don’t know if there’s anyone who doesn’t like french fries, not even a little bit… But we all know how unhealthy and fattening they are and it’s best to avoid them as much as possible. Luckily we can indulge from time to time in some baked french fries, very similar to the original version :)

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp garlic flakes
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Himalaya salt
  • favorite sauces for serving: sugar-free ketchup, vegan maionnaise
  • fresh herbs for decorating

Peel and cut the potatoes, the old fashioned way :) Combine in a bowl the garlic flakes, paprika, pepper and plenty of salt and toss the potatoes with this mixture. 

Spread them in a single layer on a tray lined with baking paper and roast them in the oven at high temperature (200 C) for about 30 minutes, until they look golden and crisp. Enjoy!
