Cum luna aceasta reinventez bucataria romaneasca, o noua reteta delicioasa este cea de friganele fara gluten, si vegane pe deasupra, ca tot a inceput postul Pastelui :) Un mic dejun senzational si un rasfat absolut care face parte din campania „Gatim romaneste si fara gluten cu Schar„.

Ingrediente (4 portii): 

  • 4 felii de paine de casa Schar
  • 1 banana coapta
  • 150ml lapte de migdale
  • 1 lg sirop de artar
  • 1 lgt scortisoara
  • 4 lgt ulei de cocos
  • topping: scortisoara, sirop de artar, felii de banana

Introducem in blender laptele de migdale, banana taiata felii, o lingura de sirop de artar, scortisoara si extractul de vanilie. Mixam bine, apoi inmuiem fiecare felie de paine in acest amestec aprox 2 min, ca sa aiba timp sa absoarba din lichid.

Incingem o lingurita de ulei de cocos intr-o tigaie non-aderenta si rumenim feliile de paine aprox 2-3 min pe fiecare parte. Le servim calde, of course, cu extra scortisoara, mult sirop de artar si felii de banane. Omg, the definition of „food porn” :)) Pofta mare!

ENGLISH VERSION

Since this month I am reinventing Romanian cuisine, I’ve got a new delicious recipe for you: French toast that is also vegan and gluten free, now that Easter fasting has started :)

Ingredients (4 servings): 

  • 4 slices of Schar bread
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 150 ml almond milk
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil
  • topping: cinnamon, maple syrup, banana slices

Blende the almond milk, sliced banana, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla. Blend well, then dip each bread slice into this mixture and let it for 2 min, to aosk well.

Heat a teaspoon of coconut oil in a pan and brown each slice about 2-3 min on both sides. Serve warm, of course, with extra cinnamon, lots of maple e syrup and banana slices. Enjoy!
