ENGLISH VERSION
At the beginning of my blog I tried the homemade vanilla extract recipe and now I wanted to try this DIY vanilla paste, to use the WHOLE vanilla bean, that’s what I love about this recipe. This vanilla paste is AMAZING, so full of flavor and yummy, perfect for baking :) And you have the baby friendly (+1) version, without alcohol :)
Ingredients:
- 10-12 vanilla beans
- 225 g honey/agave syrup
- 3 tbsp cognac/rum* (45 ml)
Cut the vanilla beans in 4, put them in the blender along with the honey/agave and alcohol (I used rum, but cognac is very ok, as well as any flavored alcohol). *If you want a baby friendly version, use rose water or water instead of the alcohol :)
Blend everything really well until smooth, then pour in a tiny jar (mine has 200 ml), put the lid on and store in the fridge. Shake well and stir before each use. It stores for a long time in the fridge. Happy baking! :)
*I know vanilla beans are expensive, but this paste is very concentrated and it lasts a long time.
