  • 350g cartof dulce (280g decojit)
  • 100g nuca macinata
  • 80g curmale fara samburi
  • 1-2 lg miere (optional, dupa gust)
  • 40g carob
  • 1/2 lgt scortisoara

Introducem in blender/robotul de bucatarie: cartoful dulce fiert, curmalele, mierea, nuca, vanilia, scortisoara.

:) Se pastreaza in frigider.

ENGLISH VERSION

If you want to offer your little ones a chocolate treat, but without the cocoa that agitates them, I’ve got a great and nutritious recipe for you :) These sweet potato carob truffles are naturally sweetened and look just like store bought truffles :) They are packed with vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, Omega 3, protein and minerals, they are just like small super healthy balls :)

Ingredients (22 pcs):

  • 350 g sweet potato (280 g after peeling)
  • 100 g ground walnuts
  • 80 g pitted dates
  • 1-2 tbsp honey (optional, to taste)
  • 40 g carob
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Topping, of choice: carob, sesame seeds, ground walnuts, desiccated coconut

Peel the sweet potato, roughly chop it and boil it until tender (a fork penetrates it easily)/ Grind the walnuts. If the dates are hard, soak them for about 1 hour.

Place the following into the high speed blender/food processor: boiled sweet potato, honey, walnuts, vanilla, cinnamon. Blend well until you get a wonderful chocolate cream :) Place it in a bowl and put it in the freezer for 30-60 min, to harden a little.

Mold small balls and roll them into the desired topping: I used sesame seeds, carob, desiccated coconut, ground walnuts. Super tasty and cute:) Store in the fridge.
