Intr-o excursie in Germania m-am indragostit de niste migdale cu glazura dulce crocanta. Mi-au placut atat de mult incat am creat versiunea mea: migdale caramelizate :) Merg rontaite ca atare, pot constitui un excelent topping pentru inghetata, clatite si prajituri, sau pot fi puse in pungute cu fundite si facute cadou celor dragi, ca tot se apropie sezonul :)

Ingrediente (2 portii):

Incalzim siropul de artar si o lingura de zahar de cocos intr-o tigaie nonaderenta. Adaugam migdalele si scuturam bine tigaia sau amestecam totul cu o lingura de lemn, astfel incat migdalele sa fie acoperite uniform de glazura.

Stingem focul si adaugam scortisoara si vanilia. Intindem compozitia pe o hartie de copt, separam migdalele lipite cu o furculita si presaram zaharul de cocos ramas. Rontaiala placuta! :)

 

ENGLISH VERSION

During a trip to Germany I fell in love with some sweet crunchy glazed almonds. I loved them so much that I recreated the recipe my way: candied almonds :) They’re great to nibble on, as topping for ice cream, pancakes or you can pack them up nicely and over as gifts, since the winter season is so close now :)

Ingredients (2 servings):

  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Heat the maple syrup with a tablespoon of coconut sugar in a non-stick pan. Add the almonds and give the pan a shake or stir everything with a wooden spoon, so that all the almonds are evenly coated.

Turn off the gas and add the vanilla and cinnamon, stir and place the mixture on a sheet of baking paper. Separate the almonds that stick together with a fork. Sprinkle the remaining coconut sugar on top and let it all cool. Enjoy the nibbling! :)
