Cred ca folosesc vanilie la 90% din prajituri :) Imi place foarte mult aroma, insa m-am ferit mereu de esenta de vanilie din comert, cred ca nu are nici o tangenta cu pastaile de vanilie :))
Esenta pe care mi-am preparat-o este foarte aromata, spornica si mult mai economica decat pastaile (in general, folosesc semintele de la 1 pastaie la 1 prajitura)
Asa ca, acum ca vin sarbatorile, fuguta la magazin sa cumparati ingredientele de mai jos ;)

Ingrediente

  • 2 pastai de vanilie
  • 100 ml alcool (am folosit vodka, dar puteti pune alcool alimentar de 35-40 de grade, whisky, bourbon, tequila)
  • o sticluta (neaparat draguta si de sticla :) de 100ml 

Taiem pastaile de vanilie in 2, le despicam pe lungime si le introducem in sticluta. O umplem cu alcool si asteptam 1 luna si jumatate pana sa o folosim. Pe masura ce consumam din esenta completam cu alcool astfel incat pastaile sa fie acoperite mereu. Spor la prajiturit! :)

ENGLISH VERSION

I probably use vanilla in 90% of the desserts I make :) I love the flavor, but I’ve always tried to avoid the store bought essence, i think it has no relation what-so-ever with the vanilla beans :))
The essence I prepared is full of flavor, rich and a lot more economical than vanilla beans (I use 1 vanilla bean per cake).
So now that the holidays are coming, run down to the store to buy the following ingredients  ;)

Ingredients

  • 2 vanilla beans
  • 100 ml alcohol (I used vodka, but you can use also 35-49 degrees alcohol, whisky, bourbon, tequila)
  • one 100 ml glass bottle (do use a pretty one :)

Split each vanilla beans in half lengthwise. Place the vanilla beans in the bottle and cover them with alcohol. Le it infuse for at least one month and a half before using it. As the essence runs out, pour more alcohol to complete so that the beans always stay covered. Merry baking! :)
