Daca cei mici s-au plictisit de clasicul gris sau orez cu lapte, incercati aceasta budinca de mei, e delicioasa si extrem de hranitoare, meiul continand multe vitamine, fibre si proteine. Eu si Ilinca am servit-o cu gem fara zahar, feliute de banana si scortisoara. Un mic dejun perfect si extrem de rapid, ce iti poti dori mai mult? :)

Ingrediente (2 portii):

Punem pe foc laptele, fulgii de mei si aducem la punctul de fierbere, amestecand continuu cu un tel. Dupa ce incepe sa fiarba, micsoram flacara si amestecam energic pana budinca de ingroasa, (cam 2 min) ca la mamaliga :)

Adaugam mierea, vanilia, scortisoara si omogenizam bine, apoi repartizam budinca in 2 boluri si decoram cu gem fara zahar, fructe si scortisoara. Se serveste calda :) Pofta mare!

ENGLISH VERSION 

If your little ones have had enough rice or semolina pudding, you should really try this millet pudding, it;s so nutritious, millet contains plenty of fiber, protein and lots of vitamins. Ilinca and I enjoyed this pudding with banana slices, jam and cinnamon. A perfect healthy and quick breakfast, what more could you wish for? :)

Ingredients (2 servings):

  • 2 cups of milk (500 ml)
  • 1 cup millet flakes (110 g)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
  • banana slices
  • 2 tbsp sugar free jam

Place the milk and millet flakes in a pot on the stove and bring to a boil, constantly stirring. After boiling, lower the heat and mix well until it thickens, about 2 min.

Add the honey, vanilla, cinnamon stir well and divide in 2 bowls. Decorate with fruit, jam and cinnamon and serve warm. Enjoy!
