Ingrediente:

Umplutura:

  • legume: castravete, ardei gras, morcov, avocado, sparanghel
  • proteine*: somon afumat, tofu, creveti, ton

Repetam de 2 ori, vom obtine 3 rulouri in total :)

ENGLISH VERSION

If you prefer to stay at home during these crazy times, but you miss an exotic dish, I want to show you it’s so easy to make sushi at home :) The ingredients are very important, I used Clearspring ingredients, they are top quality and really make a difference.

Ingredients:

  • 190g sushi brown rice
  • 600ml water
  • 4 tbsp Clearspring sushi seasoning*
  • (or 3 tbsp Clearspring rice vinegar, 1 tbsp sugar/honey, 1 tsp salt)
  • 3 Nori sheets
  • sushi bamboo mat

Filling:

  • veggies: cucumber, bell pepper, carrot, avocado, asparagus
  • protein*: smoked salmon, tofu, shrimps, tuna
  • sesame seeds, white or black (optional)

For serving:

  • pickled ginger
  • soy sauce or Tamari sauce (gluten-free)
  • wasabi paste (optional)

Rinse the rice very well, put in a pot with the 600ml of water and and bring to a boil. Once it starts to boil, lower the heat and simmer for 35-40 min, until the water is fully absorbed (always follow the instructions of the rice package). In the warm rice add 4 tablespoons of the seasoning (it contains only brown rice vinegar, mirin, soy sauce sea salt) and mix well, then spread he rice over a large tray to cool.

Add a clingfilm sheet on the sushi bamboo mat and a Nori sheet. Wet your hands and spread the rice over the Nori sheet, one third of the quantity obtained after boiling and seasoning. Add the desired filling, I used bell pepper, avocado, cucumber and smoked salmon.

Roll using the bamboo mat and wrap in clingfilm, chill the cylinder until serving. We will get 3 cylinders. Cut the sushi rolls with a sharp knife and serve them with soy sauce and pickled ginger. Super yummy, enjoy!

*Using only Tofu and/or just veggies this dish becomes vegan. And if you use Tamari sauce, also gluten free :)
