Banana bread este un desert pe care trebuie neaparat sa il incercati. Cu cat sunt mai coapte bananele, cu atat mai aromata va iesi aceasta prajitura. Am inlocuit nucile din reteta originala cu coaja de portocala si a rezultat o combinatie foarte interesanta.
Asadar, daca zariti in fructiera banane ce incep sa se „bronzeze”, you know what to do :)

Ingrediente:

  • 150g faina integrala
  • 100g faina alba
  • 100g unt moale
  • 1 ou de tara
  • 150g zahar brun
  • 300g banane
  • 50ml lapte
  • 1 lgt praf de copt
  • coaja de la 1 portocala

Mixam untul cu zaharul si oul, adaugam apoi treptat cele 2 tipuri de faina amestecate cu praful de copt. Adaugam bananele pasate cu furculita sau cu un blender, laptele si coaja rasa de portocala.

Turrnam compozitia intr-o forma de chec  tapetata cu hartie de copt si o introducem in cuptorul preincalzit la 170C aprox 40-45 de min. Neaparat verificati prajitura cu o scobitoare, cand iese uscata e gata. Foarte buna cu un pahar de Lacrima lui Ovidiu :) Pofta mare!

ENGLISH VERSION

Banana bread is one of the desserts you definitely must try. The riper the bananas, the tastier the cake :) I replaced the nuts in the original recipe with orange zest and flavor combination was really interesting. So, if you spot any brown bananas in your fruit bowl, you know what to do :)

Ingredients:

  • 150 g whole wheat flour
  • 100 g white flour
  • 100 g soft butter
  • 1 free range egg
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 300 g bananas
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • zest or 1 orange

Whisk the butter, sugar and egg, gradually adding the 2 flours mixed with the baking powder. Add the pureed bananas (with the fork or blender), milk and orange zest.

Pour the mixture in a rectangular cake pan lined with baking paper and bake in the preheated oven at 170 C for about 40-45 min. Do try the cake with a skewer to see if it’s done. Excellent with a glass of Marsala wine :) Enjoy!
