Banana bread este un desert pe care trebuie neaparat sa il incercati. Cu cat sunt mai coapte bananele, cu atat mai aromata va iesi aceasta prajitura. Asadar, daca zariti in fructiera banane ce incep sa se “bronzeze”, you know what to do :)

Ingrediente:

  • 100g faina integrala
  • 100g faina alba
  • 100g unt
  • 3 oua
  • 100g zahar brun nerafinat*
  • 300g banane (3 buc medii)
  • 50ml lapte
  • 1 lgt praf de copt
  • coaja de la 1 portocala (optional)

Mixam spuma ouale intregi cu zaharul, adaugam apoi untul topit, laptele si bananele pasate bine cu furculita. La final si coaja rasa de portocala. Incorporam usor cu o spatula cele 2 tipuri de faina amestecate cu praful de copt.

Turrnam compozitia intr-o forma de chec tapetata cu hartie de copt si o introducem in cuptorul preincalzit la 170C aprox 50-60 de min. Neaparat verificati prajitura cu o scobitoare, cand iese uscata e gata. Foarte buna cu un pahar de Lacrima lui Ovidiu :) Pofta mare!

ENGLISH VERSION

Banana bread is one of the desserts you definitely must try. The riper the bananas, the tastier the cake :) So, if you spot any brown bananas in your fruit bowl, you know what to do :)

Ingredients:

  • 100 g whole wheat flour
  • 100 g all purpose flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g brown unrefined sugar
  • 300 g bananas (3 medium pcs)
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • zest or 1 orange (optional)

Mix well the eggs and sugar, then add the melted butter, milk and mashed bananas; in the end add the orange zest, too. Fold in the 2 types of flour mixed with the baking powder.

Pour the mixture in a rectangular cake pan lined with baking paper and bake in the preheated oven at 170 C for about 50-60 min. Do try the cake with a skewer to see if it’s done. Excellent with a glass of Marsala wine :) Enjoy!
